Flicka Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea is one of the Nor'Star hulls, and in 2005 she was the only Nor'Star Flicka at the Long Island Sound rendezvous. George Rodriguez's account in Flicka Friends #35 (Summer 2005) takes her out of Great Kills Harbor and up the East River — 5.5 to 6 knots under power, rising to 8.5 through Hell Gate — past the Statue of Liberty and LaGuardia and into the Sound, with nights at Mamaroneck and Eatons Neck before Bob Freeman's Centerport Yacht Club, where seven Flickas gathered. On the last day the whole fleet rafted off her. Afterwards he and Susan carried on east to Mattituck and up the Mystic River to lie overnight inside Mystic Seaport, coming home by Branford, the Norwalk Islands and City Island.

The same issue carried a short photographic profile of her. She later moved to Chesapeake Bay: Flicka Friends #51 (Spring 2013) shows her broad reaching up the Choptank from the bay toward Oxford, Maryland, then her home port, in photographs by Brian Childs.
