Writing in Flicka Friends #46 (Fall 2008), Angus Beare mentioned that a determined American lady would be setting off around the world in her Flicka Flight of Years within a few months, and that he expected to meet her when she reached the Mediterranean. An editor’s note appended to the piece records that Heather ran into medical problems and had to drop the attempt.
